2017 was trumpeted as a time of renewed American greatness. But the reality behind this narrative we know is deeply flawed -- that American history is in fact a sad history marked by extreme violence and oppression. And the sins of America's past, repressed but never eradicated, have resurfaced today in waves of discrimination, hate and violence towards Us.

But we are not "marginalized." We are not "minority." We are not "vulnerable." And we certainly are not alone.

We are gloriously powerful because justice is on our side. Because power rises from moral authority and from speaking truth.

So let's shine a light on the dark spaces around us, together, to eradicate them once and for all. As televised images were once a powerful catalyst for change during the Movement before ours, let's also inform our world using old and social media, and organize under this tag.
